Recipe: Fall Sangria

Recipe: Fall Sangria


  • 1 bottle of dry red wine, chilled (we suggest Protocolo Tinto)

  • 1/4 cup orange liqueur (we suggest Walcher Arancello Liqueur)

  • 2 tablespoons pomegranate syrup (optional; we suggest Powell & Mahoney Pomegranate Mix)

  • 1 cup water

  • 1 apple, sliced

  • 1 orange, sliced (blood orange is optimal)

  • 1/2 cup pomegranate seeds

  • 2 torn rosemary sprigs

  • 1 to 2 tablespoons sugar (optional)


Stir water, orange liqueur, pomegranate syrup, sugar, and rosemary sprigs in a pitcher or carafe. Add sliced apple, orange, and pomegranate seeds and refrigerate overnight. When ready to drink, stir in the bottle of chilled dry red wine. Serve over ice if desired.
