Hervelets is considered one of the best sites in all of Fixin and Bart's wine is an excellent example. It comes from two parcels and the oldest vines are over 60 years old, averaging 45 years old. It's aged a bit longer in oak than the Marsannay and bottled without fining or filtration. Silky, red fruit with fine tannins. 25% new oak.
This red is silky and lush, its black cherry, blackberry, violet and iron flavors sinking into the pillowy texture. Harmonious and long, this shows staying power, with a kick of fruit and spices on the extended aftertaste. Drink now through 2038. 375 cases made, 100 cases imported.
