Lying directly east of the largest gap in California’s coast ranges – the San Francisco bay – Lodi experiences a Mediterranean climate. During the growing season, warm, sunny days allow for optimal ripening of wine grapes. By contrast, cool winds off the pacific ocean which travel inland over a network of waterways act as a natural air conditioner for the region, helping wine grapes maintain racy acidity. On the palate this wine is fruit forward with bright acidity. Notes of pineapple and guava complement the wine brilliantly.
Staff Review:
This Sauv Blanc from Lodi California has bright citrus, green apple, and tropical fruit followed with a touch of acidity. Pairs well with seafood and chicken.
