Arak Farid Handcrafted Arak

Arak is a traditional anise-flavored spirit from Lebanon. Sometimes referred to as “the
milk of lions” because it turns milky when mixed with water. It’s made from distilled
grapes and anise seed. Arak Farid is produced by husband and wife duo Fred Abi Khalil
and Jess Kandalaft. Their Arak is triple distilled in a copper alembic pot still . The aniseed
is handpicked from the southern hills of Heeneh, Syria and the grape wine base is made
from Lebanese Merwah grapes originating in the vineyards of Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley.
