Wine Wednesdays with Adam: Great New Wines from Spain

Welcome to Wine Wednesdays with Adam! Each week we'll be exploring my favorite wines and what makes them stand out from the crowd.

My belief in wine is very similar to my belief in food--know what you are eating &  drinking! In all of my suggestions I think about price, style, and how the wine was made. My goal is to find the best wines for the best price coming from the best people. With this in mind, you will see a lot of sustainable, small production, off the beaten path, and family owned wines. There is a wine out there for everyone, you just need to be willing to explore.

Our first stop is some of my favorite new wines from Spain. Enjoy!

Bodegas Nexus One

The wine is rich and complex, traditional in the sense that it sees a good time in oak. This luscious wine has rich purple fruit with a mellow balance of earth and acidity. Think simmering blackberries... A fantastic pick for any roasted dinner.

$18.99

Herencia Altes Terra Alta L'Estel

This wine is full bodied, toasty, and fruit forward with soft tannins. Perfect for a summer BBQ, this wine pairs with grilled meat of all sorts.

$15.99

Friend & Farmer Verdejo

This organic crisp clean white works for many occasions.  It's full of citrus and minerality--making for a great pairing with any raw seafood.

$10.99

Pedralonga Albarino Serea

This organic white wine bursts with notes of white flowers, citrus, nectarine, apricots, and sea breeze. Pair it with grilled fish, root vegetables, or tangy goat cheese.

$16.99
