NatCamp: French Edition
We're bringing a little taste of France to the Port Republic Riviera! Join us for NatCamp: The French Edition for a night of oysters, French wine, French-inspired fare, and a Pétanque tournament (aka French bocce ball) down by the crick on Thursday, July 13th 6:30-8:30pm.
Lourdes from MFW Wine Co will be pouring her French favorites, Maxwell Shellfish will be shucking fresh oysters on the half shell, and The Market at White Horse will be serving up delicious food all while 8 teams of 2 compete to win $200 in prizes! Join in on the competition or just come to watch while enjoying French wine, food, and beautiful views on a warm summer night.
What is NatCamp? Based on the idea that wine and food should be fun, simple, and delicious, we want to bring together members of the wine community in a welcoming environment where guests can learn from the source. Our goal is to gather people who have a shared interest in food & natural wine together. Our hope is that you'll learn something or maybe make a new friend, but ultimately just have a good time enjoying delicious food and natural wine.

Pétanque Tournament: Pétanque (peh-tonk) is extremely simple, just like horseshoes. There's a target, and you have to toss a ball to get as close to it as possible. What makes it so appealing, is that you can be way ahead for a while, yet lose a second later, or vice versa. Because nothing is decided until the last player plays the very last boule. If he or she moves the target ball or knocks an opponent ball out of the way, the layout of the boules - and thus your score - may change dramatically. Check out this info guide on Pétanque rules and FAQ!
