Predominantly gruner veltliner with well known varieties like riesling, chardonnay and sauvignon blanc, plus the lesser know kosmopolit too! More complex than your average litre of wine, we love this big bottle.
Jutta Ambrositsch is a graphic designer turned winemaker managing this small estate of four hectares with her husband. Their 'Wien' liter is a winner. A lovely aromatic white made primarily from Grüner Veltliner that is a blend of all their vineyards. It's also an homage to Vienna's wine culture. The Austrian capital has the highest wine production per capita within city limits of any urban center in the world. The vineyards in surrounding hills look over the palaces and modern high rises in the central city. This wine has some body on it with yellow plums, melon, and flowers on the palate. Its off-dry profile is balanced by vibrant acidity.
