Quinta Do Crasto Vintage Porto 2011
Bottle Size: 750 mL
To produce this Vintage 2011 were strictly followed Quinta do Crastos traditional techniques and methods, where Port wine is made for generations. After a soft crushing, the grapes are sent into old stone tanks called lagares, where they are foot trodden, a tradition proudly maintained by Quinta do Crasto. The wine aged for Two years in large Portuguese oak vats, expressing a huge capacity of ageing in bottle.
The result is a complex wine, with an excellent concentration and highly aromatic. In the nose there are concentrated aromas of juicy ripe blackberries and fresh floral notes. The palate is expressive and harmonious on entry. Great volume and concentration with fresh, compact and finely textured tannins. Long, fresh and elegant finish showing a stunning explosion of very ripe forest fruits and gum cistus notes.
