This 2013 vintage shows complex aromatics of black cherries, plum, rose, and a nice hint of white pepper, sweet basil and fig on the nose. The palate has layered flavors of cherries, bright cranberries, licorice, and a slight touch of minerality that completes the beautiful mouthfeel. It is this minerality, along with fine and complex tanninsthat are integrated with a bright fruit intensity that sits alongside a sturdy backbone of acidity, which is all balanced by a nice touch of oak. These characteristics are what we love about the Sheridan Vineyard site and what we think sets it apart. 499 cases made.
